How to find nail polish?
It’s a simple question.
You’ve probably seen it before: The nail polish store with a huge display of products.
And when you ask the store manager for a list of the most popular products, you’ll get the same answer.
And if you ask for a full list of prices, you might get a few of those same answers.
“I’ve seen people go, ‘How can you sell $1 million nail polish?'” says Melissa Tully, owner of the Nail Salon in Santa Monica.
“And I’ve always told them it’s the price that counts.
If you’ve got a really good deal on $1.00 nail polish, that’s a good deal.
But if you’re getting $3.50 for a bottle, I’d say that’s not good value.
So that’s why I just try to stay away from those kind of deals.”
For Tully and others, it’s not just a question of price.
They’re also learning to take pride in the products they have in stock.
“It’s a great feeling to be able to say, ‘We have a lot of great nail polish here,'” says Tully.
“You know what?
That’s really what it’s about.
It’s about the quality of what you get.
And I think people really value the polish.”
