The Manicure Store at the Mall at Westlake Village, Seattle, has been closed due to a ransomware attack, according to its owner.
On Monday, July 13, the store received a report that a cyberattack had taken place at its online store.
The incident resulted in a data breach, the company said.
“We are currently working with our customers to resolve the issue and will provide an update in the coming days,” the company wrote on its Facebook page.
“We are thankful for the kind and supportive support of our community.”
The store has been open since November and is a popular spot for customers to take advantage of the salon’s extensive manicure and pedicure services.
Owner David Eppert said he and his team had been working on updating the salon since the cyberattack.
“I had to get out and get away from it because it was kind of a ghost town,” Eppet said.
“It’s a really good place to do the work.
It’s an amazing place to work.”
The mall is now open.
